About the Kulturfabrik Hainburg

The Kulturfabrik Hainburg is an inspiring venue situated right beside the Danube – a meeting place for the stimulating exchange of ideas, a stage for artistic productions and most especially a venue for enjoyable moments.

The former tobacco factory impresses one with its elegance and lightness.  Cast iron columns traverse the former factory floors, the rooms are generously dimensioned, functional and of beautiful simplicity.  The perfect setting for congresses and seminars, for presentations and banquets, but also for private celebrations and weddings.

The spectacular glass terrace overlooking the Danube has fascinating views over the National Park Donau-Auen and allows you to relax and at the same time to be spoilt with culinary delights.

The glass ceiling in the atrium makes possible exciting glimpses into the world of science.  Visitors to the Kulturfabrik can literally look over scientists’ and restorers’ shoulders when they painstakingly research the rich finds from Carnuntum, Rome’s former metropolis on the Danube.

The square in front of the Kulturfabrik is laid out in terraces and is the venue for exciting events, culinary delights and meetings in public – rather like the Museumsquartier in Vienna.

Varying special exhibitions and an ever-changing cultural calendar make the Kulturfabrik Hainburg a favourite meeting place for the inhabitants and guests in the Danube region Auland-Carnuntum.
